Non-representational Work

Lately I've been working in acrylic experimenting with color and texture. Acrylics dry fast which can be a bane or a blessing depending on what you are trying to do. Anyway, it has been fun. Sometimes I get tired of pictorial subject matter - variety is good and helps you look at composition differently.

It's kind of fun to discover new subject matter as you go along - kind of like Christmas surprises and happy painting accidents.

This and That

This is some work I've been doing in Acrylic and water color. Haven't decided how to handle the horse trilogy. Right now they are in a long panaramic that no one would want to hang on their wall. I could frame them separately or overlap them. What do you think?
This next one is huge - I kind of like the simplicity of the Calla Lilies. I'm still unsure of the area around the table - may work on it some more.

Here's a watercolor of my favorite Sycamore on Nifong. I gave it a barn for some contrast.

Stained Glass

I've been working on stained glass lately. I wanted to replace the colored glass window I had originally made because the room is dark and small. I figured this would open it up some. Also, I had a lot of stained glass supplies I needed to use up - so this was an inexpensive proposition. I like the way it turned out, so you can see the view through the beveled glass. Now, what to do with the old panel? I still like it so may frame it to hang in a patio door or something.
